FTC Technology Enforcement Division

Technology markets play an increasingly important role in the economy and in the lives of American consumers. The FTC is committed to ensuring that consumers benefit from free and fair competition in these rapidly evolving markets. In February 2019, the FTC created a Technology Enforcement Division to monitor competition and investigate potential anticompetitive conduct in markets in which digital technology is an important dimension of competition. The Technology Enforcement Division aims to ensure that technology companies are operating pursuant to the antitrust laws – and to take action where they are not. Learn more about the Division from our press release.

If you have a question or comment about competition in technology markets, submit it to the Technology Enforcement Division by one of the methods below. Please consult the FTC’s Guide to the Antitrust Laws, which may answer general questions about the antitrust laws and contains Frequently Asked Questions on a number of topics, or Inside BC to learn more about the work of the Bureau of Competition.

To describe your concern, please provide answers to the following questions:

  • What companies or organizations are engaging in conduct you believe violates the antitrust laws?
  • Why do you believe this conduct may have harmed competition in violation of the antitrust laws?
  • What is your role in the situation? For instance, are you a user, customer, competitor or supplier?
