Our Organization
CHDC provides a broad range of affordable housing opportunities and services to enable low/moderate income residents gain better housing and financial stability. Our unique approach to community development engages residents at the grassroots level and ensures that the whole neighborhood benefits from the affordable housing and neighborhood services provided.
Vision Statement
CHDC envisions vibrant, safe diverse communities throughout our region where people of all ages can thrive. Communities free of blight, crime and pollution, where involved residents have access to affordable housing, education, healthcare and economic opportunity. Communities where residents proudly band together to promote and share the benefits of community development.
People & Areas We Serve
CHDC serves households throughout Contra Costa County and beyond. The majority of our clients live in the greater Richmond area. We serve people of all income levels, but specialize in serving low and moderate income families. A large majority of our clients have incomes below 80% of the area median income. Some of our programs have specific income and geographic requirements.
