Verification of Employment

Each state child support agency sends its own verification of employment (VOE) form. Employers can respond using one of these options:

• Complete and return the form you received from the state.
• Complete and return a standard VOE response form if that state accepts it.
  See which states accept the standard VOE form.

   

If you use a third party for employment verifications, some states may require you to respond directly to an employment verification request instead of processing it through your third-party provider.
