About NIOCCS:
  • NIOCCS is a free web-based tool used to translate industry and occupation text into standardized codes.
  • Coding is based on the U.S. Census I&O Classification system with options for coding to the Census 2000, 2002 and 2010 coding schemes.
  • Output files include the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and U.S. Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) codes associated    with the Census scheme selected for coding.

WE'VE GOT BIG NEWS! A new version of NIOCCS is headed your way! Soon, NIOCCS will be MUCH faster and provide a code for ALL your industry and occupation records. New NIOCCS users will be able to request an account once the new version is released. We anticipate the release will occur in mid-December 2020. If you are a current NIOCCS user, you will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to login to the new version once the release occurs. TO PREPARE: • Before 12/31/2020, wrap up any manual coding and download your output data. • On 1/1/2021, the current version of NIOCCS will be no longer be available. * *NOTE: We will ensure the new version of NIOCCS is up and running correctly before we retire the current version. Stay tuned for more details about the new version and what you’ll need to do to prepare, along with the anticipated release date. If you have an urgent need for an account or time-sensitive data, please send an email to NIOCCS@cdc.gov to request assistance .

If you forgot the email address associated with your account, please contact us at NIOCCS.cdc.gov.
