Each year we seek energetic and self-sufficient volunteer to stay at the Virgin Valley Campground, greet visitors, and help us with upkeep of Virgin Valley and other campgrounds throughout the Refuge.

About the Complex
Sheldon and Hart Mountain refuges were both initially established to protect and restore the American Pronghorn and each provides important habitats for pronghorn during different times of the year.
Sheldon is managed as part of the Sheldon-Hart Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Complex.

VISIT THE REFUGE
The refuge is open year-round. There are no entrance fees and overnight camping is allowed (no reservations). The Refuge Headquarters in Virgin Valley is not regularly staffed, so please call us in advance for more information before you visit.
