• Boating Continues with Seasonal Road Closures

  Following guidelines set in the Kirwin NWR Comprehensive Conservation Plan, boating between October 1 and April 1 is allowed when the reservoir elevation is at 1722 ft. or greater. The reservoir level is currently above the 1722 ft. threshold and will remain open to boats through September 30, 2017 when a new determination will be made. The seasonal road closures will remain in effect. The seasonal road closures dates are October 1 – April 1.

• Hours of Operation

  The Visitor Center at Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except for Federal Holidays. The refuge is open to the public at all times.
