The Proposal Process

 

To access restricted data through the RDC, you need to submit a proposal. The proposal serves four main purposes:

1. To make sure that researchers have a defined research question that addresses a public health concern.
2. To determine what restricted variables are needed to complete the project.
3. To assess disclosure risk based on the types of output and requested restricted variables.
4. To determine the mode of access and the required software.

Step 4: Submit your proposal for review. All proposals should follow the Proposal Format, include page numbers, and be emailed as one document to Peter Meyer, RDC Director at rdca@cdc.gov . If you have any questions, please contact us anytime.
