The Plants Committee is made up of experts representing each of the six geographical regions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). It focuses on animals in trade and considers the impacts of trade and capacities to regulate and conserve the wild animal populations. The committee meets twice before each Conference of the Parties.

For more information on the Plants Committee, visit the CITES website.

To read the specific terms on the committee’s formation, view the CITES resolution.
