Overview

The Jordan River National Fish Hatchery was established in 1963. Jordan River National Fish Hatchery rears lake trout as part of Great Lakes Restoration Program; provide environmental education; manage the M/V TOGUE, an 85-foot, 175-ton vessel used for offshore release of nearly all lake trout stocked in Lake Michigan.

Overview

Pendills Creek National Fish Hatchery has produced lake trout for stocking into the Great Lakes since 1951. Lake trout restoration is coordinated by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission (est. 1955) with key support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other federal, provincial, state, and tribal natural resource agencies. Pendills Creek National Fish Hatchery produces over 1 million yearling lake trout annually for spring stocking into Lake Michigan and Lake Huron each year.

Overview

Sullivan Creek National Fish Hatchery produces pathogen free lake trout brood stock and produces up to eight million lake trout eyed eggs for shipment to other federal, state, and tribal facilities for the Great Lakes Lake Trout Restoration. Sullivan Creek National Fish Hatchery utilizes retired and excess lake trout broodstock for stocking into inland lakes for recreational fishing opportunities.
