Carl Baum, MD, FAAP, FACMT

National Preparedness and Response Science Board Member

Carl Baum, MD, FAAP, FACMT, is Professor of Pediatrics and of Emergency Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, where he serves as Attending Physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department. He is Director of the Yale Regional Lead Treatment Center, and is a toxicology consultant for the Connecticut Poison Control Center.

Nationally, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Council on Children and Disasters. He is an appointee of the American Board of Pediatrics’ Medical Toxicology Subboard. In addition, he is the medical director for the National Program Office of the federally funded Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) program.
