American Community Survey (ACS) data are tabulated for a variety of different geographic areas ranging in size from broad geographic regions to cities, towns, county subdivisions, and block groups. View the chart below outlining the number of areas receiving data by geographic level. Note that 5-year estimates are available for all areas.

The chart below includes only selected summary levels, therefore not all geographic areas are represented below. To view the complete list of geographic areas published for ACS 1-year and 5-year estimates, as well as detailed lists for 1-year and 1-year Supplemental Estimates, visit the Reference Materials page.

Many factors other than population size also affect whether ACS data are published. Visit the Data Suppression page for more details and to learn how population thresholds are applied.
