"Why do you think teens might sometimes feel uncomfortable accessing health care?" a teen asked a room full of health care staff and providers at a recent Eye-to-Eye training in Bend, Oregon. "As an adult ally, it's important that you develop skills to increase your comfort talking with youth. Your comfort will help them feel more willing to talk about critical health care topics."

 

Project ECHO, a collaboration between the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Health & Science University, is helping primary care providers in rural Oregon learn what to do when parents come to them with children's mental health issues.

Recently 15 emerging health system leaders from across Oregon completed a year-long Clinical Innovation Fellows program as the state continues to innovate to reach the ultimate vision of a healthy Oregon.

Cleaner Air Oregon is a new program announced Governor Brown to reform industrial air toxics regulations and is led by Oregon Health Authority and Department of Environmental Quality. We invite Oregonians to help create new regulations that protect what we all care about: the health of our people and our planet, and the economic vitality of our communities.
