Maynard Reece dies at age 100

Maynard Reece, an Iowa treasure, died July 11, although his legend will live on through the artwork — often depicting fish and waterfowl — he created over the past century.

Reece won the Federal Duck Stamp competition a record five times and his artwork was featured in national magazines such as Life, Sports Illustrated and the Saturday Evening Post.
