Environmental films were just beginning to hit television when Jacques Cousteau captured the world with National Geographic's "Undersea Voyages." That early virtual experience changed many lives. Today, ocean and wildlife programs abound. Many fascinate us, some surprise us, while others inspire us to take action. Internationally acclaimed filmmakers Greg MacGillivray, Bob Talbot, and Mark Shelley contribute their wisdom, ocean philosophy, and gorgeous video clips. Bob Talbot reveals tantalizing images from the upcoming MBNMS Exploration Center exhibit in Santa Cruz. Mark Shelley discusses his newly released Otter 501 and renowned Ocean Champions Sylvia Earle and Greg MacGillivray discuss OneWorldOneOcean in a piece with glorious footage from beneath and above the waves. |

Retired State Park Ranger and local Gray whale expert, Jerry Loomis shares some of the local history and lore. Steve Stagnero of Santa Cruz Whale Watch discusses their switch from fishing to whale watching in today's economy and Sanctuary Cruises of Moss Landing is also featured.
