Camry Hybrid knows how to balance power for fuel efficiency. With Hybrid Synergy Drive®, the combined output of both the gas and electric motors is an impressive 200 hp. And because of its advanced design, lightweight materials and refined aerodynamics, you can go farther for less.
Hybrid mpg
Camry Hybrid uses many smart technologies to help make your drive as efficient as possible. Hybrid LE offers an EPA-estimated 43 mpg city and the sporty Camry Hybrid SE offers an EPA-estimated 40 mpg city, so you don’t have to sacrifice fuel economy for fun.
Energy monitor
Camry Hybrid provides the tools to help you get the most efficient drive. The energy monitor displays the gas engine, the electric motor generator and hybrid battery. As conditions change, it provides real-time information showing how power is being routed to the drive wheels, or how the battery is being charged.
A spacious trunk
Driving a hybrid doesn't mean making sacrifices. In Camry Hybrid, the hybrid battery is neatly packaged in an area ahead of the trunk, behind the seats. By engineering the most efficient placement for the battery, we preserved more cargo space, meaning there’s more room for your stuff.
Low rolling-resistance tires
The most important connection is the one with the road. Camry Hybrid uses advanced tire technology to increase inflation pressure, reducing tire rolling resistance and improving fuel efficiency.

Blind Spot Monitor
When the available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) detects a vehicle, it illuminates a warning indicator on the appropriate sideview mirror to help you know when it’s safe to change lanes. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) works in much the same way. When you slowly back out of a driveway or parking spot, it provides audible and visual indicators to warn you of approaching vehicles.
Backup camera
All Camry audio systems include a standard backup camera. Any time you put your Camry in Reverse, an image of what’s visible to the camera will appear on the touch-screen display.
Lane Departure Alert
If an inadvertent lane departure is detected, the available Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system issues an audible warning and displays a warning on the instrument panel. It’s one more way Camry helps look out for you.
Direct TPMS
A Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) comes standard on every new Camry. The newly available Multi-Information Display shows the tire pressure for each individual tire. And should a tire or tires become critically underinflated, the system alerts the driver as to which one is low on air.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Camry is available with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) that automatically adjusts vehicle speed to help maintain a preset following distance between you and the vehicle directly in front of you.

Ten airbags
In Camry, there are ten standard airbags for you and your passengers, including a driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, rear seat-mounted side airbags, and front and rear side curtain airbags.
Pre-Collision System
Camry’s available Pre-Collision System (PCS) works with the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) system to anticipate if a frontal collision is imminent. If so, under certain conditions, the system automatically applies the brakes.
Star Safety System™
Camry comes standard with the Star Safety System™, a suite of six advanced safety features designed to help keep you out of harm’s way. The system includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology® (SST).
Safety Connect®
With available Safety Connect®, emergency assistance is always within reach. Via Toyota’s 24/7 call center, Safety Connect® offers subscribers helpful features such as Emergency Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance and Automatic Collision Notification.
Whiplash-Injury-Lessening (WIL) seats
Camry’s front seats are engineered to yield in a controlled fashion in certain rear-end collisions, helping to reduce the risk of neck injuries.
