Request The Band

The band is able to provide musical support for most military and civilian ceremonies throughout the Northwestern United States.

All units of the band are capable of performing concerts in the public domain, providing certain minimum requirements are met.

Submission of your letter does not guarantee acceptance, but constitutes an official request for musical support.
All requests are reviewed to determine whether regulations permit Navy Band support for your event.
Military events are normally confirmed no earlier than 90 days prior to the event.
Civilian events are normally confirmed no earlier than 60 days prior to the event.
Requests are processed on a first come first served basis.

Types of Support Navy Band Northwest Provides:

• Military Ceremonial Support

Navy Band Northwest provides musical support for official U. S. Military ceremonies. We regularly perform at Change of Command Ceremonies, Commissioning and Decommissioning Ceremonies, Retirement Ceremonies, Ship and Aircraft Arrivals, and Pass in Review Ceremonies.

• U. S. Navy Recruiting

Navy Band Northwest supports local Navy Recruiting efforts, mostly in the form of our Popular Music Group performing Top 40, Country and Rock music at student body assemblies in schools.

• Civilian Ceremonial Support

Navy Band Northwest performs for a variety of civilian sponsored ceremonies, often in conjunction with patriotic holidays and events of community wide interest. Some examples are parades, government building dedications and opening ceremonies for conventions.

• Public Concerts

Our Ceremonial and Parade Band, Brass Band, Popular Music Group, Woodwind Quartet, Brass Quintet, and Protocol Combo are available for public concerts. These concerts can be scheduled as a single event or in conjunction with community festivals. The primary requirement for these concerts is that they be free and open to the public.

• School Music Support

Navy Band Northwest staunchly supports music education from elementary to collegiate levels. All of our ensembles are appropriate for school performances and Navy Band Northwest members also regularly provide individual appearances as clinicians and ensemble coaches. Clinics can be tailored for specific needs of music students including: instrument demonstrations, master class presentations, sectional work, or even joining Navy Band Northwest members on stage.
