Fleet and Family Readiness

The Fleet and Family Readiness includes many Morale, Welfare and Recreation, or MWR, programs and services. These programs include: fitness and sports, the Navy Motion Picture Service, libraries, golf, bowling, outdoor recreation, the Single Sailor Liberty program, and Tours. Fleet Readiness also includes the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites and MWR food and beverage services.

The Fleet and Family Readiness provides programs and services provided through Fleet and Family Support Centers, such as relocation assistance, information and referral, financial management counseling, spouse employment services, family advocacy and the transition assistance program.

Family Readiness also consists of Child and Youth Programs, such as Child Development Centers, the Child Development Home Program and Youth and Teen Centers.

The Navy Housing division is responsible for the overall management of all housing Navywide, including permanent party family housing and bachelor quarters.
