On March 5, 2020, U.S. Attorney General William P. Barr, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf and partners from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom announce the launch of Voluntary Principles to Counter Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse . Through consultation with several leading technology companies, this publication provides 11 voluntary principles that outline measures companies in the technology industry can choose to implement to protect the children who use their platforms from sexual abuse online and to make their platforms more difficult for child sex offenders to exploit.
