U.S. Department of Homeland Security Artificial Intelligence Strategy

The Department of Homeland Security’s 2020 Homeland Threat Assessment is a first-of-its-kind report synthesizing threat assessments across DHS including intelligence and operational components.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) conducts the annual Fusion Center Assessment to provide a comprehensive picture of the performance of the National Network of Fusion Centers (National Network), measure the effectiveness of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant funding, and guide partners to invest in mission areas with the greatest potential benefit to the entire homeland. The Assessment primarily evaluates fusion centers' adherence to selected performance measures.

December 2016 memo signed by the Undersecretary for Intelligence and Analysis and Undersecretary of Management expanding the scope of the DHS Insider Threat Program beyond the protection of classified information to include threats posed by all DHS employees.

The FY 2020-2024 Strategic Plan articulates how the Office of Intelligence and Analysis will achieve goals and mission objectives, while continuing to meet the needs of the Department and our other partners.

Suspicious Activity Reporting Explosive Precursors Point of Sale Training is a module of the NSI’s Hometown Security Partners suite of online training. This overview provides an introduction to the NSI, relates how retail professionals at the point of sale for explosive precursors may fit into the suspicious activity reporting process, and includes instructions on accessing the training. A chart of suspicious activity reporting indicators and behaviors is included.
