Regulates the field testing, movement, and importation of genetically engineered organisms that are known to be, or could be plant pests. Provides information about Biotechnology Regulation Services (BRS) issues on various types of permits for each of these activities.

Serves as a national resource for molecular biology information by providing public databases and software tools to analyze genome data, and by disseminating biomedical research information.

Includes guidance documents, FDA Talk papers, international guidelines, reports, testimonials, consumer information, food labeling, and other policy and planning information.

Presents biotechnology information regarding newly released documents, meetings, conferences, newsletters, and more. Country policy documents and the FAO position statement are also available.
