In the past three fiscal years, NANASP co-led the advocacy effort to gain more funding for important aging programs, including:

  • Increase of almost $100 million for OAA Title IIIC nutrition programs, including congregate and home-delivered meals
  • Increase of $40 million for OAA Title IIIB supportive services
  • Increase of $3.5 million for OAA Title VI Native American nutrition and supportive services
  • Increase of $340 million for the Community Development Block Grant; the Administration had called for entire program elimination
  • Increase of $5 million for SCSEP, also up for elimination entirely
  • Increase of $5 million for SHIPs; also up for elimination entirely
  • Increase of $25 million for the Community Services Block Grant, also up for elimination entirely

NANASP's mission is to strengthen through advocacy and education those who help older Americans
