Coastal Ohio employs over 1.2 million people annually, earning a total of $62 billion. This equates to almost $159 billion in gross domestic product.

Natural Hazards

Two billion-dollar weather disasters affected Ohio in 2018—and a total of 21 affected the state between 2010 and 2018. The most common of these disasters was severe storms, including high wind damage from tornadoes.*
