Tribal Health

Welcome to CDC’s Tribal Health website. This website highlights the rich history of American Indian and Native Alaska (AI/AN) tribal nations, tribal contributions to public health, and organizations working to improve tribal public health. It also presents issues related to consultation, partnership, and support between CDC and tribes, and tribal serving organizations, as well as resources that are relevant to AI/AN communities. CDC’s Office of Tribal Affairs and Strategic Alliances

The Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) is CDC’s principal point of contact for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribal nations and tribal serving organizations. The CSTLTS Office of Tribal Affairs and Strategic Alliances (OTASA) connects tribal nations and tribal-serving organizations to CDC and ATSDR programs, and provides funding for building and improving cross-cutting tribal public health infrastructure. CSTLTS and OTASA are committed to ensuring that AI/AN communities receive public health services that keep them safe and healthy.
