SelectUSA hosts a range of events – in addition to sponsoring and participating in select industry events – in the United States and around the world. These activities enable investors to connect directly with representatives of U.S. locations to learn about specific opportunities for their businesses, while also learning how and why to invest in the United States.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. It connects qualified foreign firms directly with U.S. economic development organizations to facilitate business investment and job creation.
The Investment Summit plays a vital role in attracting and facilitating international investment into the United States by raising awareness of the wide range of opportunities and positive business climate, and facilitating vital direct connections between investors and EDOs.
Each Investment Summit focuses on a timely theme reflecting the U.S. investment environment, industry trends, and new opportunities, and features senior government officials, C-Suite business executives, and other thought leaders.
ROAD SHOWS
SelectUSA, together with U.S. diplomatic missions around the world, leads delegations of U.S. economic development organizations on multi-city international road shows where foreign firms can meet directly with U.S. state, tribal, regional, and local representatives, and receive first-hand knowledge about establishing a business in the United States.
INVESTMENT MISSIONS
Through its global portfolio managers in Washington D.C. and expanded network in more than 75 international markets, SelectUSA provides on-the-ground support for U.S. state, tribal, regional, and local investment missions abroad. SelectUSA also meets with business delegations to the United States and offers services to participating investors.
SEMINARS & SPECIAL EVENTS
SelectUSA representatives frequently present at and/or participate in trade, business, and investment events in the United States and abroad as an additional means of reaching out to global business investors.
TRADE SHOWS
At major events, both domestically and overseas, SelectUSA often coordinates a central U.S. investment pavilion, hosting economic development organizations (EDOs) from across the United States. Services offered may include “Invest in the United States” seminars, one-on-one meeting coordination between investors and EDOs, and networking events.
