Circulating Coins
A circulating coin is used in daily life as money. Circulating coins show the faces of famous people, most of them U.S. presidents. Today, half dollars and $1 coins are produced as collectibles. However, they may still be used as money.
Current Coin Programs
Have you noticed that some of your quarters have different designs on them? Congress allows the Mint to make coins with different designs to help inspire interest in coin collecting. Learn about the Mint’s current circulating coin programs.
