Provides access to Program Standards, information on trade issues, materials on organic certification and accreditation including a listing of USDA accredited certifying agents, and resources for producers, handlers, processors and retailers regarding organic production and marketing. The factsheet, Is Organic an Option for Me? links to videos, training modules, resource guides, brochures, posters, and more. Also included with the factsheet are overviews and workbooks on how to get certified.

Many USDA agencies serve the organic sector.  Resources are available to those who are already certified organic, considering transitioning to organic, or working with organic producers. This portal connects you with programs, services, and educational materials that can help your organic farm or business.

Offers an indepth discussion on Economic Research Service (ERS) research and the economic issues related to organics. Provides recent ERS research developments, readings and data, questions and answers and related ERS services or products on this issue.

Describes selected Farm Service Agency programs available to assist organic farmers with costs related to transitioning to organic, organic certification, real estate, buildings, repairs, insurance, field buffers, routine operating expenses, equipment, crop losses, soil and water conservation, and more.

The NIFA supports programs to address critical organic agriculture issues, priorities, or problems through the integration of research and extension activities and programs.
