OC Housing Authority

Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) is a division within Orange County Community Services that administers federally funded programs to provide monthly rental assistance to qualified tenants in privately owned rental housing.  The largest such program is referred to as the Housing Choice Voucher Program.  Participants who receive a Housing Voucher can use this rental assistance in a variety of rental dwellings and locations with almost any property owner who is willing to participate in the program.

June 23, 2016  OCHA will no longer accept cash payments effective 8/1/2016Beginning August 1, 2016, The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) will no longer accept payments made by cash. Accepted payment forms are:
- Personal Check
- Cashiers Check
- Money Order

Money Orders are available through your bank, Walmart stores, and other places. Locations to obtain a Money Order near OCHA office are:

- Western Union - 1701 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA
- Casa Latino Express - 506 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA

May 31, 2016  OWNER PORTAL: ASSISTANCECHECK

For your convenience, we are now offering a new secure, online service called AssistanceCheck. This interactive service will allow you to contact us and obtain or provide information online rather than in-person or by mail. Some of the services offered include:

- View and download monthly payments (this replaces HAPCheck)

- Request to update your contact information

- Ability to download 1099's at the end of calendar year 2016

- Additional features are scheduled to be available soon
