Episode #024 – Please welcome Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) Michael J. Swangler, of the Carter Protective Division (CPD). SAIC Swangler became a Special Agent with the Secret Service in 1997. He served in the Investigations (INV) Directorate in the Richmond, Virginia field office (RIC), then under the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), and also the Newark and Trenton, New Jersey field offices. After INV, he served under the Training (TNG) Directorate at the Secret Service Academy, James J. Rowley Training Center (RTC). Following that post, he was assigned to the Office of Protective Operations (OPO) Directorate on the Presidential Protective Division (PPD), then the Vice-Presidential Protective Division (VPD), and his current assignment as the Special Agent in Charge of CPD in Plains, GA.
