The American Music Industry Web Archive captures the websites of individuals and companies that represent music creators and are involved broadly in the business of music. This includes mainstream and independent record labels and studios, music journalists and critics, and retail music sites. The goal of the collection is to document in what way music is created, discussed, promoted and consumed and how those interactions change over time.

Collection Period: April 2018 to present (this is an ongoing archive).

Frequency of Collection: Sites in the collection were targeted for capture twice-yearly, with fewer targeted for capture monthly.

Acquisition Information: Sites have been added incrementally since the project began and will continue to be added as they are identified.
