Employers of National Service

600 employers of national service have signed on to recruit AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumni for their skills and service experience. hashtag 500 employers.

 

Through this initiative, employers have increased access to a dedicated, highly qualified, and mission-oriented pool of potential employees, and national service alumni have additional opportunities to apply their skills in the workplace.

More than 600 employers are now a part of the Employers of National Service program, which recognizes the valuable skills gained by more 1 million Americans who have participated in AmeriCorps since 1994 and the 230,000 who have participated in the Peace Corps since 1961.

How Does an Organization Become an Employer of National Service?

To become an Employer of National Service, organizations will adopt policies and practices that allow applicants to highlight skills gained through national service. Organizations will identify themselves as an Employer of National Service on their website, in job applications, or in another approved manner that demonstrates to alumni that your organization understands and actively recruits those who have completed a national service program. 

To sign up, employers complete a brief webform selecting their preferred method of commitment.
