A Message from the Chancellor
Dear colleagues:
I have always viewed our Strategic Plan for the Urbana campus as a key blueprint to guiding this 143-year university toward its future. Currently, change is in the air and with change comes incredible opportunity to reset our goals and priorities.
The continual decline of state funds have presented us with a challenge: how do we reconfigure our university to operate in the most efficient way and still provide thousands of students with an affordable and transformative educational experience?
I believe turning toward the Strategic Plan is an important step toward answering that question and many others we now face.
