Our vision articulates the aspirations for our organization in 2016:

Secure the State. As part of Minnesota IT Services' efforts to protect Minnesotans from cyber threats and protect the State’s sensitive data assets, Commissioner Baden’s top priority in 2016 is to implement a new strategic cyber security plan. The Commissioner’s plan will prioritize initiatives for the management, control and protection of assets, including: proactively managing risk, improving situational awareness, having a robust crisis and incident response, and partnering with public and private entities to ensure success.

Improving our Services through Collaboration. We will bring transparency to decision-making with our partners and collaborate to produce better solutions and achieve resilient partnerships. 

Shared Technology Services. Shared technologies give the State the opportunity to provide a higher level of service at a lower cost using the economies of scale generated by optimizing common enterprise services. This approach improves the security of agency systems and allows our agency partners to focus on building value-added business applications and serving citizens. 

Delivering Digital Services. How Minnesotans find and use government services is changing rapidly – and government can’t continue to do business as usual. We will leverage technology to transform the way we provide services to Minnesotans so they can easily find the things they are looking for and quickly get their business done.
