The Rivers Full of Fish Webinar is part of the North American celebration of World Fish Migration Day 2020 – a global celebration to raise awareness for the importance of free-flowing rivers and migratory fish.
This two-part webinar will spotlight the importance of migratory fish ecology, economy, and people. Community leaders, local supporters, practitioners, and all people interested in learning about the latest projects, approaches, and research in river restoration are invited to attend.
The celebration takes place in two 90-minute sessions:
- Part One: Transformational Change – A Movement for Rivers (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST)
- Part Two: A Celebration of Free-flowing Rivers! (5:00 pm- 6:30 pm EST)
Carrie Selberg Robinson, director of the NOAA Fisheries Office of Habitat Conservation, and George R. Pess, watershed program manager for the Northwest Fisheries Science Center, will be featured in Part One of the webinar.
