Download pdf version of Transmittal. (297.10 kb)

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) hosted a forum on August 3, 2005, to discuss improvements in the administration of the Federal student loan repayment program. As a result of the positive response to that forum and the continued high level of interest in the program, OPM will host an additional forum in mid-December. At the December forum, selected student loan repayment program managers will share information about their agencies' programs. The forum will provide a valuable opportunity for the sharing of best practices and lessons learned regarding the use of student loan repayments as a human capital management tool.

I invite you and your staff to attend the forum from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on December 14, 2005. The forum will be held in the Campbell Auditorium at OPM, 1900 E Street, NW., Washington, DC.

I encourage you to invite your student loan repayment program managers to join us at the forum and take full advantage of this opportunity. For further information, please contact Gene Holson at pay-performance-policy@opm.gov.
