Dear Senator Boxer:

We refer to correspondence dated February 26, 1997, from [xxx], with enclosures, on behalf of your constituent [xxx], San Francisco, California. Mr. [xxx] has requested your assistance in obtaining lost wages he believes is due incident to his employment with the [xxx], in San Francisco.

We have carefully considered the claim, and have concluded that payment may not be authorized. We have enclosed a copy of our letter to Mr. [xxx] which explains the basis for our action.

While we regret our reply is not favorable to your constituent, we trust this will be of assistance to you in this matter.
