Interesting Experience: In a career of many incredible experiences around the world, one that stands out was witnessing the first Afghan elections. After coordinating the security parameters for U.S. election monitoring in Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan, I accompanied monitoring teams of to voting sites. I will always remember the proud look on the faces of the women as the placed their votes, experiencing democracy for the first time.
