Researchers are studying heart tissue chips that spent a month in space for changes caused by microgravity. Processes that look similar to aging and some diseases are accelerated in microgravity and can provide insights to improve health on Earth.

Research Speeds Diagnosis of Genetic Diseases in Seriously Ill Children

NCATS-supported researchers have developed an automated machine-learning approach to diagnose genetic diseases in seriously ill children. This new approach could allow faster diagnosis, initiation of treatment, and, ultimately, better outcomes.
