Interesting Experience: As a Supervisory Special Agent on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s Protection Detail, I traveled to over 50 countries in two years. We once circumnavigated the globe visiting six countries in eight days. (Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, Belgium, Ireland). On every one of those trips there was a testing, inspirational, growth experience. Supervising a shift of 22 agents while we protected the Secretary from harm and embarrassment in environments ranging from austere to elegant, was my most challenging and rewarding assignment.

Last Post: Special Agent in Charge of the DSS Boston Field Office. This was a very special assignment for me as I grew up in the metro Boston area.

Why I Chose a Foreign Service Career: Easy; I wanted to see the world. I grew up a voracious reader but I never left the country until I was 27 years old. I wanted a job that would propel me around the world to all the places I had read about. I have been on six out of seven continents and over 100 countries at this point.
