American Citizen Services

The Consular Section provides both emergency and routine services to American citizens in Slovenia such as passport renewals, documenting the birth of a child, voter registration, and notary services. An appointment is required for all routine consular services. You may click on one of the specific services below.

Covid-19 update: The Embassy is providing reduced services.  Please click on the appropriate service below for more information.  Note that Slovenian government restrictions on internal travel may make it difficult to come to an appointment at the Embassy.  In addition, if you are coming from a country other than those countries designated as “green” by the Slovenian government (note: the United States is not designated “green”), you will need to complete your two-week quarantine in Slovenia before coming to the Embassy.
