U.S. Citizen Services

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Consular Section is currently closed for all but emergency appointments. If you have an urgent need for a U.S. passport or other emergency service, please contact us at LibrevilleACS@state.gov.

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Libreville provides the following routine services to American citizens:  passport issuance and renewals, issuance of Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) to American citizens born overseas, Consular Reports of Death of a U.S. Citizen Abroad, and notarial services.  It is also responsible for the issuance of travel warnings, public announcements, and other travel information for Gabon and Sao Tome & Principe.

Routine services are by appointment only.  You must schedule your appointment online.

No appointment is necessary for emergency services for U.S. citizens.
