Covid-19: Information to passengers

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19, Paris Aéroport staff is on duty everyday to welcome, inform and give orientation to all our valued customers.

Sanitary measures: specific informations

Several exceptional measures have been adopted at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly to protect you and guarantee you a safe trip. To consult our sanitary measures click here

Wearing a mask all time

In conformity with the health recommendations of the French authorities, wearing a mask is compulsory inside and outside our terminals, and on board aircraft.

Surgical masks are the only masks accepted on the planes (textile masks are consequently not allowed). In case you forget, you may obtain them at the pharmacies at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly.

Temperature reading

On departure and arrival, Paris Aéroport and the airlines set up temperature-taking systems in order to limit the spread of Covid-19.

On departure, airlines may need to take your temperature before boarding flights to some destinations. If this happens, passengers with a temperature above 38°C may be boarding denied.

On arrival, Paris Aéroport uses thermal cameras to take your temperature in the baggage delivery room. If your temperature exceeds 38°C, you will be asked to remove any doubts using a non-contact thermometer. If the temperature is confirmed, you will be offered medical treatment - during which a doctor may, if necessary, suggest that you carry out a RT-PCR or Covid-19 antigen test.

Wearing a mask, using a hydro-alcoholic gel, greet one another without physical contact, taking your temperature: Paris Aéroport has put in place measures to ensure that you are travelling in complete safety.

Access conditions to airports

From 15 December 2020, travelling on French territory will once again be possible without any restrictions throughout the day. However, between 20h00 and 6h00, a night curfew is in place. Travelling is limited to only those imperative and professional reasons authorised by the French government.

If you have to travel from France
, you must have a proof of travel (plane ticket or train ticket) and the official travel authorisation downloadable from the French Ministry of the Interior website. For all business travels, a document from your employer is also required. Please note that any violation of travel bans is subject to a 135 euro fine.

Terminals and Airlines

Some terminals at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports are temporarily closed.

Airlines must consequently reorganise their operations. In the same way, these same airlines are today forced to adapt their flight schedules to the travel restrictions set by the States they operate in.

We invite you, before your departure, to consult the flight schedules and to contact your airline company for information on the current status of your flight.

Please note: a sworn declaration stating that you are not showing symptoms of Covid-19 infection is required for all air travel, regardless of the destination. This document must be given to your airline company when you board the plane.

Paris Aéroport has set up two
Covid-19 testing centers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris-Orly airportDeparting passengers must take an appointment online (doctolib.fr). Results will be guaranteed within 48 hrs for an RT-PCR test and within 1 to 2 hrs maximum for an antigenic test.

Covid-19: two screening centers on departure in Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly

Travelling abroad (outside the EU and Schengen area)

France has established a list of countries for which entry into French territory is allowed only in specific derogatory situations, in particular for French nationals and persons living in France. Outside these situations, it is not possible to come to France from these countries.

Free entrance to France

Passengers from the following countries (list updated every 2 weeks) are not subject to travel restrictions and can enter French territory freely.

Australia, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand

Negative test of -72 hrs compulsory to get into French territory or possibility to do the test on arrival if you have a permission from the French embassy or consulates general in these countries.

France has established a list of countries where the virus circulates very strongly. Travellers over 11 years of age coming from these countries must show a negative test before boarding for France (except for connecting passengers whose final destination does not require a test), otherwise they will be denied boarding. A special permission from the French embassy or consulates general in these countries will nevertheless allow screening on arrival. Without a -72h RT-PCR test, to prove that you are not carrying the virus, or without this document, it will no longer be possible to leave for France.

Algeria, Bahrain, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Panama, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States, Zimbabwe

Negative test of -72 hrs compulsory to get into France or possibility to do the test on arrival at the airport

Passengers over the age of 11 from other countries of the world (all those not notified above) are invited to be tested before departure, less than 72 hours before their flight, in order to cross the border more quickly.

For passengers who were unable to perform this test before departure, the Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (APHP Paris hospitals) and the Civil Protection have set up a screening center with antigenic tests on arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle ( Terminal 2E and Terminal 2AC). The results of these tests are checked by the Police upon entering into the French territory.
