A net total of 155,000 jobs were created, and the unemployment rate for January rose to 7.9 percent from the 7.8 percent rate previously reported for December.

I still remember working alongside my parents in the family-owned carpet store in Manchester called “Carpetime.” There, they taught me that if you worked hard and lived within your means, the American Dream was at your fingertips. That dream can still be possible for our kids and grandkids, but not if we continue down the path of spending trillions of dollars that we do not have.
