With just weeks to go before the President-elect enters office, Trump administration officials revealed several federal agencies, including the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, along with parts of the Pentagon, have been compromised in what could be one of the largest cyberattacks in US history.

When Black people are wary of vaccine, it's important to listen and understand why

Opinion by Tina Sacks
Many Black Americans have expressed reluctance to take the Covid-19 vaccine, a wariness some attribute to the enduring legacy of the egregious Tuskegee Syphilis Study, which exposed the country's enduring structural racism, writes Tina Sacks. We must ensure that marginalized groups like Black, indigenous and people of color, immigrants, people with disabilities and people in prison can receive this vaccine. We must also ensure people are allowed to ask questions to make informed and uncoerced decisions about their health care, she writes.

America's peaceful election is worth celebrating

Opinion by Shannon Hiller and Nealin Parker
We are used to election season being a campaign period, a day of voting, a fairly immediate concession and a subsequent inauguration -- with the majority of citizens having little awareness of the rest of the process.

Christopher Krebs: We prepared for more Russian interference. But this year the assault on democracy was from within the US

Opinion by Christopher Krebs
On Wednesday, I will testify before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. Though I am no longer a public servant, it remains an honor to serve the public, and I am proud to heed the call of our Senate leaders to tell the public about the methodology of the agency I led, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), to secure the 2020 presidential election.
