New Mexico Electric Car Challenge (November)
Grades 6-8
Subject area: Math/Science/Engineering
The New Mexico Middle School Electric Car Challenge consists of a battery-powered model car race, design competition, as well as the option to compete in an oral presentation.

Julia Robinson Math Festivals (April/May)
Grades 6-12
Subject area: Math
Led by STEM Santa Fe, these festivals are aimed at inspiring students to think critically and to explore the richness and beauty of math
 
New Mexico Regional Science Bowls (January/February)
Grades 6-12
Subject area: All areas of science
A competition that tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science in a fast-paced question and answer forum
 
NM Future City (January)
Grades 6-8
Subject area: Engineering
A national, project-based learning experience where students imagine,design, and build cities of the future.  Students work as a team with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using SimcityTM software to research and write solutions to an engineering program 
 
Bradbury Science Museum (Year-round)
All ages
Subject area: Science
Approximately 40 interactive exhibits trace the history of the WWII Manhattan Project, highlight the Laboratory's current and historic research projects related to defense and technology, and focus on Laboratory research related to national and international economic, environmental, political, and social concerns. Open year-round.
 
NM Supercomputing Challenge (Kickoff: October)
Grades 6-12
Subject area: Science/Engineering/Physics/Computer Science
A program encompassing the school year in which teams complete science projects using high-performance supercomputers
 
RoboRAVE Rally & NNM Science Showdown (March)
Grades 2-12
Subject area: Robotics/Engineering
A robotics competition & STEM expo featuring several hands-on demonstrations & activities

Expanding Your Horizons (February)
Grades 6-8
Subject area: STEM
A conference for young girls aimed at changing their opinions about people who work in STEM careers and show the fun, interesting and variety of career choices that people in STEM can have.
 
STEM Pathways for Girls (October)
Grades 5-8
Subject area: STEM
A conference held to spark girls’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math which includes hands-on workshops led by women in STEM careers, as well as a keynote speaker in the morning and STEAM Fair in the afternoon.
