The Farm Service Agency (FSA) through the Environmental Evaluation and Restoration Branch (EERB) is committed to comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws concerning managing and disposing of hazardous substances, hazardous waste, and petroleum products in such a way as to avoid adverse impacts to the environment or the health and safety of the public. This work is conducted through two distinct programs. The FSA program deals mainly with cleaning up these potential problems at inventory farms prior to resale of the property. The Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) Program involves evaluation and clean up of groundwater contamination at grain storage facilities that were formerly operated by the CCC.
