Awesome answers to, "What Do I Do?" Simple, quick, pretty accurate answers, as to 1st responder treatment of most med., emergencies, if you are not a trained 1st responder, police, or, E.M.T. I highly recommend this app to help keep YOU staying calm, and able to render proper first aid, until trained professionals arrive. Please install this app.! It is simple to use, could help you save a life, and will give you actionable answers to, "Oh s**t, what do I do!" Next time you roll up on a bad accident before police, and E.M.S. have arrived!

Great concept that needs refinement Love the concept, this could be a very useful tool. However, the "add friends" tool is completely worthless. It won't recognize at least half of the people in my contact list. You do need to refine the alert settings or you'll be flooded with alerts.

Duplicate alerts litter phone, waste time This ap was seemingly a great idea. But every message comes with at least 2 duplicates. Last batch had 19 copies sent, one after the other. Not worth the aggravation and time waste.

It's been weathery here. Wish I'd have known. While I did get the flood warnings every 30 minutes for an area 30 miles outside of any area I monitor, it missed the tornado that touched down a few miles away. It might need some work on the "where things actually happen" bit.

Export to new device? I have loved this app but switched to another phone and haven't found any Export option for my alerts. It took a long time to set them up. If there is a way to Export, let me know and I'll change the review.

The means by which you can modify the alerts isn't clear, which caused me considerable annoyance... HOWEVER This app is well thought out and useful. You can select what emergencies you want notifications on, and you can select the nature of the notifications - just a message, or also including a sound to alert you. The app is full of vital information about how to handle various emergencies - how to take cover during an earthquake, what to do in the event of a tornado, tsunami, and so on. You can learn how to prepare for emergencies before they happen - setting aside water and food, planning escape routes and family gathering points, etc. There are also first aid tips. I don't know whether this app would work in a major disaster where cell phone service is lost; however, it offers a great deal of important, useful information you can learn now.

Burns through battery This is a useful app. It was easy to set up, although it took a lot of time. Since I installed it, my battery dies after 5 hours instead of 18 hours. It is poorly designed to have an emergency app that kills your phone in a time when you need it most.
More annoying than helpful This app on my phone sends out duplicate notifications every 45 min to an hour, at a minimum of 3 times each. Often I would receive 4 or 5 notifications at a time for the same thing. It got so annoying I finally uninstalled it. I made sure I only had one location set, limited the events I'd receive notifications for and it still went nonstop.
Awesome app I love it has tools you can use in an emergency situation if you get trapped in rubble and have to get emergency assistance. It has an alarm feature and has a flashlight and a strobe light. It picks up alerts from noaa such as earthquakes or tsunamis and send them right your phone no matter where you are. Glad I got this one. It can save your life.
Limit number of notifications? I am always inundated with endless number of notifications until a monitored threat in my selected 20 mile radius is over. It would be great if there is a way to acknowledge/snooze a given threat once (or once every x number of hours) instead of being bombarded by dozens of alerts each day. Otherwise, very useful app.
AMAZING ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I have many preparedness apps on my phone alerting me to numerous things. We were under a tornado warning and I wasn't even aware the only app that let me know. Highly highly recommend.
No wild fire alert Wild fire five miles from my home, area on pre-evacutation and the app never sent an alert or acknowledged a fire. Got plenty of heat alerts for areas more than 100 miles away.
More Spying Why does all American Red Cross apps need to access my camera, sorry I'm not falling for that again !
Neat app, needs a few features I like that you can choose a whole set of alerts, from hurricanes to frost. I wish you could customize the sound that you choose, and that you could copy your settings across multiple locations.
Need to have an option to turn off the alerts in the middle of the night. It wakes me up for locations I am not at but just monitoring.
Stop with the notifications! Great idea, in theory. However there seems to be no way to limit the notifications. To be clear, I *want* to be notified - just not multiple times an hour for the same issue. One tropical storm, and every weather station up the coast sends alerts - every 20-30 minutes, multiple times. *ONCE* is enough. After I dismiss it, consider me notified.
Keeps giving me the same alerts over and over again for hours and hours I like the app otherwise but I don't need to see the same things over and over again for hours. Example: an alert was issued at 3:58 today. It is now after 10:00 and I just got the same exact altert (showing the same timestamp) for the 15th time.
Embedded Spyware Possibility The program may have been tampered with by the Russians, Chinese, or some Hackers in India. Cue the OS lockup requiring a last resort power down to reset the system.
Hey On your tornado app 4 severe Thunderstorms was shown. On this app it showed 1 Severe Thunderstorm please fix this.
Great for alerts but... But would like to be able to monitor certain areas without getting alerts all the time. Is there a way to turn that off because I couldn't find it.
Good info Like the alerts and locations. although unable to setup family safe. Never receive the 4 digit verification code.
Good app Will give me alerts properly when quake happens but doesn't seem to have audio alert, and on alert page clicking on read full alert button yields no info such as distances from favorite locations!
Very nice app , gives alerts way before any T.V. station , just set up alerts you want , it covers everything . A definite must have app.
😒 This app was working and showing Hurricane Matthew and the other hurricane but now it's not showing any of the hurricanes something's wrong with your app
Worth The Look. Take time to figure out all the features. This app is several rolled into one. Yea! Someone was concerned about all the permissions the app asked for. I was too. Solution: Find the application manager. Scroll down to Permissions. You can edit.
Great app gives notifications I'm a Storm Spotter and set it for the different areas in the counties I do weather watching for NWS
Everyone should have this! This app has everything you need. Can check in, check on family and friends anywhere. Has tools you need all In one place, flashlight, first aid, alerts etc. Perfect!
Not working It shows the alert in my notifications when you open the app it says error
This is a great app, but I wish it had a way to sign up for an account, in order to save and sync your settings, places, people, etc. Because if you have to switch devices, which I have, it's a real pain and takes much time to redo everything.
Best preparedness app It's not perfect but it's the best preparedness app out there, with some really awesome capabilities. Well done!
Stop. Sends alerts that are more like advertisements and can find no setting to stop them. Wait.. just found the setting. It is called uninstall.
Instructor Good but dosent have as much first aid as previous version
Crashes. While this application may have potential, it tends to crash on a fairly regular basis.
I don't hear sounds anyone else can tell me how to turn up sounds earthquake high sensitivity works best I tell all my friends its good

Hi Steve- If the volume on your device is on, please check under notifications settings of the place you're monitoring in the app and make sure all earthquake notifications are turned on =) If they are, please contact us at mobile@redcross.org so we can further investigate the issue. Most Useful No mobile phone should be without this. An essential safety app.
This app has potential ! This app seems very promising. After a few updates, I think this app will be great!
Notifications Too many repeat notifications for same alert. Will get at least 3 at a time.

What's New
We heard some users were finding the grey font hard to read so we've now made it black
We know some of you use larger font sizes on your phone's so now we observe that too and make the alerts nice and big
Some of you reported a bug where our app was using too much space so we put the app on a little diet meaning you can have that space back.
Fixed a bug where deleting monitored locations would incorrectly report success when it wasn't. We recommend pulling down to refresh your locations.
