Remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing

Today, we ask federal employees everywhere to take a moment to pause in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing. On this day we honor the memory of the 168 victims, including 19 children, who perished. The vast majority of the victims were Federal employees, who lost their lives while serving our country. We remember the heroic efforts of the first responders and recall the survivors whose lives were forever changed. We also acknowledge the Federal Protective Service, whose work ensures the safety of our federal workplaces every day, and their collaboration with our Federal Executive Boards, who play a key role in emergency preparedness and communication across federal agencies which proved so important during the response and recovery to this event.
