Civil and Criminal Penalties Search
When CPSC is involved in a civil or criminal investigation into violations of the Consumer Products Safety Act the Commission publishes final determinations and those penalties are also recorded in the Civil and Criminal Penalties Database. You can search this database for records by civil or criminal penalties as well as by company, product, and fiscal year.

The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
The CPSIA of 2008 authorized a variety of new regulations and testing requirements for children’s products and some non-children’s products. If you are a manufacturer, importer, distributor, or retailer of consumer goods, all of your products must comply with the CPSIA and other laws enforced by the CPSC.
