When the Senate is in session, Senator Grassley sets aside eight 15-minute meetings every Monday through Thursday to meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., including advocacy groups, associations, chambers of commerce and local business leaders, students and families. Last Congress, he held meetings with nearly 1,500 groups of Iowans visiting the nation’s capital and discussed a variety of policy issues. Senator Grassley continues to hold the record for the longest period of service in the United States Senate without missing a vote.

Sen. Grassley was or will be on public affairs programs with Cindy Kohlmann on KDTH in Dubuque, Theresa Rose on KILJ in Mount Pleasant, Sam McIntosh on KCII in Washington, Scott Voorhees on KFAB in Omaha, Charlie Stone on KSCJ in Sioux City, Mike Adams on “Adams on Ag” in Dubuque and Fred Hofmann on KCPS in Burlington.

 

Sen. Grassley will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from Decorah and Wilton.

 

On Tuesday, December 15 at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property hearing titled, “The Role of Private Agreements and Existing Technology in Curbing Online Piracy.”

 

On Wednesday, December 16 at 10 a.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on nominations.

 

On Wednesday, December 16 at 2 p.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration hearing titled, “Supporting Hong Kong’s Pro-Democracy Movement Through U.S. Refugee Policy.”

 

On Wednesday, December 16 at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Finance Subcommittee on Health Care hearing titled, “The Alzheimer’s Crisis: Examining Testing and Treatment Pipelines and Fiscal Implications.”
