User Facility Registration

Argonne is home to multiple national user facilities that draw representatives from various types of organizations from across the globe.

To access Argonne National Laboratory and National User Facilities, bring two pieces of identification. Please review the acceptable forms of ID for both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens.

Individuals who are accessing the Laboratory for these facilities must follow specific facility requirements. Argonne National Laboratory enforces the REAL ID Act affecting site access for US citizens from certain jurisdictions requesting ID badges.

Advanced Photon Source

Advanced Photon Source (APS)

Users (conducting hands-on work) or Visitors (no hands-on work or remote computer access) of the APS must register for site access approval.

Theta Super Computer at Argonne National Laboratory

Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF)

As a national laboratory, formal registration is REQUIRED for all visitors coming to Argonne National Laboratory. Visitors must fill out the visitor registration form.
